Hello Parallels Blog, I have an issue where I would need urgent help since my master thesis is depending the my virtual machine on my Mac book. My parallels and Windows 10 was running smooth the last few weeks and I could use all the windows applications that I needed to work with. Lately when I opened parallels it kept telling me that the storage is almost full. Since yesterday my virtual machine and all the windows programs that I want to use don't work anymore (they don't open anymore) and I think it is due to the fact that the virtual machine is to full. When I start my windows 10 the program ist just a blue window thats it. Please see the picture attached. So I tried to expand my storage for the virtual machine and on the internet I found the following guideline of how to do it: http://blog.parallels.com/de/2016/02/vm-groesse-aendern/ The problem is I can't expand it. If I go to Control center -> configuration -> Hardware -> Harddrive 1 -> It won't allow me to edit the Harddrive space!! I just can't press edit. There is no difference if I have the virtual machine open or closed. I just can't edit my hard drive storage. Please see the pictures attached. Does anyone know what the issue is and how I can solve this problem. I need to work with my virtual machine for the next two month and right now it just doesn't run anymore. Thanks and best, Philipp
Hello PhilippS5, You only edit the virtual hard disk when the Windows is properly shutdown. Refer to this article for steps.
