I am having trouble with the USB connection for my Garmin 18 GPS under Windows XP while using Parallels on my MACBOOK Pro. I am running Windows XP on my MacBook Pro, using Parallels. While in Windows XP, I can see the Garmin GPS device being identified while in the Control Panel, Device Manager. When I plug the device into a USB port, it installs and is showing available. The driver is garmin 9/23/2003 V2.1.0.0. I then open the program, City Select North America V7 7.00. Under tools, it shows USB drivers version 2.1.0.0 being installed. When I go to select the GPS device, it shows a serial port (Com1), which is showing active, and a USB device, which shows non-active (or greyed out). When I select the USB port, I get the message: There are no USB devices available. The program is not seeing the USB device, even though Windows recognizes it. Under Parallels, for USB controller, I have selected AUTOCONNECT ON. Does anybody have any thoughts or sugestions on this problem?
