Hey guys, I am brand new to these forums and just downloaded parallel 2 days ago. I have ran into some what of a problem. I tried installing my virtual machine (win xp) and the install looked like it formatted a part of my hard drive and then went into the install.. Then the install failed, i ejected the disk and it had a scratch on it. So i used my roommates install disc and it created a new virtual machine and it did the same thing, looked like it formatted a part of my hard drive and the install disc ran into problems. So now i have two virtual machines with 60 gigs of total dedicated hard drive. I want to delete both those virtual machines and get back that hard drive space. I just bought a new vista install disc so i'm just going to install that. Does anyone know how to remove the virtual machine and get back my hard drive space then i can install vista?
Just delete the corresponding files. In Parallels 4.0 it would be in /Users/<username>/Documents/Parallels/<VM_name>.pvm Also, you can remove the virtual machine using the Parallels Desktop interface, check the documentation: http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v4/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/27156.htm http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v4/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/23129.htm
