Help with syncing between OS X and XP folders

Nub alert... sorry if this has an obvious answer but I can't seem to figure it out... i just installed parallels 4 on a macbook pro (running 10.5) and am running a virtual machine that I cloned off a dell laptop (Win XP Pro). Everything seems to be working fine but Im getting the windows desktop and OS X desktop syncing. It looks like the files that I used to have on the windows desktop are now in a separate folder and the current desktop shows what is on my OSX desktop. Whenever I add or delete something from one desktop it does the same on the other desktop of the other OS X. To me this is kind of annoying and I was wondering if there was any way to disable this feature. Thanks for the help!
