I noticed that when I turn on a VPN client within Parallels its CPU usage makes a significant jump. On my 2.66GHz Mac Pro Parallels normally idles at ~5-10% with XP running as reported by top or Activity Monitor. But as soon as I establish a tunnel using the Avaya VPNRemote client the CPU use jumps to ~40% at idle. On the Windows side task manager reports the system at 99% idle. While the VPN client works just fine the CPU hit seems awfully high - any idea what's going on?

I have no idea what's going on, but FWIW, Parallels consumes about 10% CPU ("idling") on my MacBookPro with XP, no matter whether my Cisco VPN client is connected or not.
