Hints needed on how to make Windows look like Windows!

New to Parallels; coming from VMWare Fusion. With that environment, I ran Windows in a window; had the desktop arranged according to my liking etc. All looked like Windows. Now with Parallel, even without Coherence activated, windows come and go; if you leave a program it looks like Parallels has quit, even though it hasn't.
Does anyone have hints on how to have Windows be Windows (Preferably in it's own window, with all navigation just as in Windows. Running Arm 11.
