I've had no problems with my Parallels Desktop for Mac 2.5 3214 build until today.
guest OS is windows xp sp2
host OS is mac os x 10.5.8

Guest OS is using Bridge networking.

    Guest OS internet works fine.
Host OS internet will not work. host OS email will not work

Things i've noted (if it helps at all)

    1. Computer was running Guest Os, and i believe my son closed the top case while he was working.
    2. host os Firefox may have been launched while Parallels was starting up.
    3. Have attempted a host OS reboot... no success
    4. Have attempted a parallels network switch from bridged to shared. internet no longer worked in guest OS, but was still unavailable in host OS.
    5. Even though internet is unavailable in host OS, all other network features seem to work? I can still connect to my VPN and remote desktop a computer from the host OS? I can still use my itunes audio streaming to my stereo system via Airtunes.

Anyone seen something like this before?
    Anyone have any suggestions?
I'd rather not uninstall Parallels since it's working, if that is at all possible. Mostly because it's the only thing i can get on the internet with!

    Thanks,
    James

Are using bridging to AirPort? I believe that for some reason (I'm not familiar with PD 2.5) Guest have grabbed IP of the host.

Please try to switch the VM to SharedNetworking and then reboot the Mac.
