In PD 7 for Windows XP Pro SP3 on a MacBook Pro OSX 10.7.3 -
    - I cannot enable the Host-Only Network Adapter.

In the VM Configuration / Hardware / Network 1 pane the Network Adapter Type is "Shared Network" and "Connected" ist checked. Entries in that pane cannot be changed.

In PD Preferences / Advanced / Network: Change Settings ... "Host-Only" is selected.

What I want to do is to disable direct internet access from/to the Windows guest OS.
For that reason I wanted to select the Host-Only Network Adapter in the VM Configuration pane.

That's why I don't like that I cannot change the "Shared Network" and "Connected" configuration.
But maybe I don't need to, because I selected "Host-Only" in the PD Preferences.

Thanks in advance for some clarification.

You can use bridge network. Just enable your host network adapter when you wanna use Internet and disable when you don't wanna use the internet. I think this will be better for you requirement.
