Hi,
I'm a real newbie here. Never could use my PC very well, which is why I switched to Mac. I was working in Parallels but one of the programs I was using stopped responding and for some reason, even when I clicked on END PROGRAM NOW, it didn't resolve the problem. Unfortunately, I have had to quit Parallels from my Mac Menu bar without first shutting down the VM because nothing else worked. When I open Parallels again, the VM just resumes where it left off, ie. dysfunctional. I am now at the point where even the icon for the desktop etc. at the top left hand corner have disappeared and all I see now is a thin line of blue sky (top of Windows desktop) appearing under the menu bar of my Mac and under that thin line of blue sky is the rest of my Mac desktop.
I just updated Parallels while in the VM as I got a window prompting me to do so. Now what? How can I properly shut down Windows when nothing seems to be responding?
