I have this question as well. Our company has created an installation image that is looking for a specific computer model that is supported. However for some reason when they added "Parallels Virtual Platform" to the list of supported models being looked for, it didn't work. So I can change the System Model in Parallels so that the installation can proceed? Any brilliant ideas? Thanks D Zurn
Hi All, Since you are running Windows Operating System in Parallels Desktop as a Virtual Machine , by default it will take the System Manufacturer as : Parallels Software International Inc and System Model as : Parallels Virtual Platform It is not possible for you to change the System Manufacturer and System Model for Windows Operating System running in Parallels Desktop as a Virtual Machine.
