I'm trying to find a way to configure our Windows 7 VMs to shutdown properly (not suspend or stop) when the iMac that Parallels is being run on is either restarted or shutdown. Our users are VERY lazy and don't want to shutdown the Windows VM properly before shutting their iMacs down. So they constantly just suspend or stop their Windows 7 VM. Stopping is a bad idea (with any OS) and in my opinion should only be done if the OS doesn't respond at all. Suspending doesn't allow updates to be finished that require a restart of the Windows OS. The strange thing is that in the Parallels menu item called Virtual Machine has a "Shutdown" option, so I know that Parallels itself is capable of initiating a shutdown of the Windows 7 client OS. But they don't have that option in "On Window Close" They only have suspend and stop.
