I started out with a brand new imac (2.8 GHz, 2 GB RAM) and created a Boot Camp partition with Windows XP.

When I installed Parallels, I believe I followed the instructions, and created a Windows XP VM for the Boot Camp partition. I press the Green Arrow, and it says, "More than one Windows partitions are found. This is not a standard Boot Camp configuration. Please refer to the Parallels Desktop for Mac User Guide, Using Boot Camp Windows XP Installation chapter for instructions on how to configure Parallels virtual machine in case of a non-standard Boot Camp configuration on your Mac computer."

After consulting the referred chapter, I managed to create two more VMs, each of which give me the same message. Again, I believed I had originally created a standard partition. I don't know what I did wrong.

Is there any way to delete the created VMs and start over? Is that the right approach? Is there another way to fix this?

    Thanks,

    Anatole

    Hello Anatole,

Please create two hardware partitions to avoid such issues. Have a look at this article.
