I have Parallels 7. I just installed Mountain Lion and P 7 now doesn't work. How do I get the upgrade to make it work on Mountain Lion? Every place I go to on the web site asks me to buy P 7, which I already have.
I bought a new Mac last week. I took out the new HD and put in the one from my old computer rather than doing a data transfer. When I booted my new computer with the old HD installed, the Parallels 7 icon on my dock has a circle with a slash through it on top of it and if i click on it, I get the error message: "You can't use this version of Parallels with this version of OS X. You have Parallels 7" I have OS 10.8. Let me know if you need any more info. Thank you!
You can't just switch the drive like that. When you do that, there's no guarantee that anything will work due to drivers and hardware differences between the two machines. You have to use Migration Assistant or reinstall the OS. Then try reinstalling Parallels 7. And make sure you are running the latest version of PD7. Steve
Just install the latest version as mentioned on the website. Direct download link: http://www.parallels.com/de/directdownload/pd7
