I successfully increased my Parallels Virtual hard drive from 10 GB to 15 GB. Now my Windows XP system has a C: drive of 10 GB and 5 GB unallocated. How can I increase the C: drive from 10 to 15 GB?

I tried Windows Disk Manager and that did not work.

I also tried downloading GPart and for some reason GPart failed to load the file on my desktop.

I am open to trying freeware or purchased software.

    I would appreciate your recommendations.

    John,

I cannot find the version number anywhere. It is build 3224 but no mention of the version. It was purchased in 2006.

Can someone tell me where to find the version number if it is important to fixing my hard drive size problem?

    Build number is OK,
In that build you can use Gparted and suggestion from http://uneasysilence.com/archive/2007/01/9404/
    Try to redownload it again,
And please note, this is not official solution
So , please backup you Virtual Machine folder before doing this

    John,

Please edit my last post since it reveals my name and computer information. I had second thoughts after sending it.

    Thanks

Rex, I have deleted your previous post.

Don't try to open that image on MacOSX side. Please re-read this article. You should mount image to your virtual machine in Configuration window.

Yes, I have re-read the article and cannot understand what I am doing wrong. It says,"Navigate to the gparted-livecd-0.3.3-0.iso file (Most likely saved on your desktop)". When I download Gparted it does not load the iso file to my desktop. Instead, there is a pop-up box with Gparted and Linixiso icons.

Do not open it on Mac OS, just use ISO image, as boot CD image in Virtual Machine
