How do I move files from my mac desktop into my virtual machine?

Ok, so I connected my virtual machine desktop and mac desktop together. Here is the thing. I have a few files on my desktop that I want to move into program files. How do I, explorer keeps on crashing when I try.

no. moving files that's in my virtual machine to other folders in my virtual machine

 

Is this the only virtual machine that you have? If you have another virtual machine, does the issue occur in that as well?
