I want to completely remove Parallels and ReInstall it onto an external drive. I also want to increase the size of the partition, so that I can have more hard drive space for the Parallels program. Is this possible? I do not care about saving any data, so it can be a complete start up if needed. I just want to make sure I can run Parallels exclusively from an external drive.

Please note that I am NOT very computer savvy, so if it is possible, detailed instructions would be VERY helpful. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Machawk!

According to the system requirements (see http://www.parallels.com/en/products/desktop/sr for more details) Parallels application requires 70 MB free space. You can't install Parallels software onto an external drive. But it is possible to store virtual machine files on the external hard disk drive.

For more info please read this article:

    Best regards,
    John
