how do I upgrade Parallels Desktop 4 too 6

    Hi,
    how do I upgrade my Parallels Desktop 4 too Version 6. Is my Virtuell Maschine WinXP still running after the upgrade, or must I reinstall WinXP with all the progamms? For me ist that a very importen Question because I am writing my thesis with TeXnicCenter and old Latex packages. Can someone help me?
