How do we upgrade Parallels Access when the upgrade feature isn't working?

If I open Parallels Access on my Mac running Yosemite a dialog appears saying "A new version of Parallels Access is available" and that the new version is 2.5.0 and I am using 2.1.1.

If I click the "Install Update" button all that happens is that some small window opens up with what looks like a blue progress bar, but disappears too quickly for me to read what it said.

    I've tried this several times.

How do I do the upgrade when the upgrade feature doesn't seem to be working?

I have exactly the same problem (Yosemite OS): at every boot I get this annoying popup, even if I choose to skip the version (from 2.1.1 to 2.5.0).
Is there any log file to examine in order to investigate about the problem?
    Thanks,
    Nic
