How do you insert iPhoto images into Windows applications?

On the Mac side of things, I know that when you want to insert a photo from iPhoto into an app, you have to scroll down to 'Media" and then open Pictures. Something to do with the way iPhoto images are formatted, I guess.

But when you open a program on the VM side, and click on 'attach file' or 'insert image' or whatever, you aren't presented with the same option. There's no "Media."

I can scroll to the Picture library and insert photos that I've tossed in there. But anything in iPhoto is inaccessible. Best I can do is open a series of associated folders.

BTW...workarounds like copying to desktops and such won't work for what I have in mind. I frequently need to open a photo file from within an application in order to view and select the image I need. It would be very klutzy to have leave the application in order to first open iPhoto and then drag something to the desktop.

Would be grateful for any suggestions on how to make this work!
