I got the message today that there was a new version of Parallels. So i clicked to update to it...now my computer is just hanging with the spinning clock style wheel on screen for last hour as if Parallels is trying to load..what's going on? Is it possible to download the latest update and try to install it directly if the auto update has failed?

Further information...When i try to run parallels it appears in top task bar of Apple OS, then i get the spinning thing like it's trying to open a virtual machine i guess. On clicking About Parallels i get
    Build 9.0.24237

However, there is a BUY radio button on bottom right of that screen....I already BOUGHT it...this was an automatic update...
If I right click on the icon on bottom bar of the apple screen to get to REPORT A PROBLEM, it crashes.......

could really do with some help here!

So...i decided to close everything down and restart my macbook pro...when i did this the macbook hung in a permanent state of grey screen death with just the cursor on screen..So, last resort, i did a hard reset by holding down the power button....took 5 minutes for the thing to reboot but it did...then when i clicked to open parallels i got the same swirling gif...then 30 seconds later a message saying Parallels has completed updating....and my virtual machine loaded up....crisis averted...
