Tried doing a search on this, but there was no answer that I could find relating to my question.

I want to use Parallels without Bootcamp. I'll be installing XP and only XP (no other windows software) I only need it to test sites against IE.

What is the minimum amount of disk space I can allocate for the virtual hdd? I was thinking maybe 5GB? How do I prevent Parallels from expanding the virtual hdd?

    Thanks

When you create a VM, you can choose a fixed size virtual HDD that'll always take up the same amount of space and never expand. If IE is mostly what you will run under XP, then you can manage with 3GB. I've got mine running inside 2GB with NTFS compression, removing uninstallation data, etc.

So Wesley, do you install XP as NTFS during the installation or convert it later?
