How much slower is file access via shared folder

    Hi,
    I normally share specific folder on my mac to Windows 11, i.e. Users/name/project-folder-x > share to windows > "D:"

    Question is:
    - what is the penalty of doing so vs. having the files local on the VM "C:" How much slower is file access via shared folder
