I am operating Parallels build 5160 on a Pro Mac with dual Screens in Coherence mode. one display is dedicated to XP In my normal (Non Coherence) operating set up I have short cuts to folders and Partitioned disks on my XP Desktop. Using Parallels in Coherence mode how do you get effective access to the XP Desktop Short cuts? I have no problem with the application short cuts it's only the folders and Disks that are causing the problem. If I copy the XP short cut to the OSX desktop and try to execute it, there are a number of screens coming up warning me of running the program etc and I have to spend ages moving the mouse from one display to another to respond to the various messages........ ie a waste of time and effort. The links that Parallels puts on the OSX desktop to show the XP Disks are confusing as they cannot be renamed to something that is really meaningful to me and if you try to relocate them on the desk top they get repositioned the next time Parallels is loaded. OF course I can spend time whipping the mouse back and forth to select Show desktop every tine i try to use one of these short cuts, but the benefits of using short cuts then becomes questionable?? Any suggestions on simplifying access to storage XP short cuts would be appreciated. thanks John
