While in XP full-screen I would like to get my function keys to not interact with OS X. ie when I hit F5 to refresh a webpage, I don't want to turn up the volume. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!
You didn't specify your hardware, but assuming a laptop, you have two choices: One is to precede the function key with the "fn" key. The other is to change the system preference so that F keys are passed to software and fn-F is required to change hardware settings such as volume or brightness. Of course, in point of fact, the function keys ARE working "correctly". They just don't work the way you would like them to. BTW, this question has been asked and answered several times in this fourm. A search probably would have found it for you.
