I have two Macbooks here running Win 7 in Parallels 7. Both are running in coherence mode, with crystal mode on or off it doesn't seem to make a difference. The Macbook 17" has all the windows taskbar items in the mac menu bar, but my Macbook 15" has the windows taskbar on the desktop. I prefer the taskbar items in the mac menu bar. The only thing I can think of is that the 15" Macbook menu bar isn't long enough for the items to show in the menu bar depending on what other applications are running with menus in the menu bar. Does Parallels automatically display the taskbar if there isn't enough room for them in the mac menu bar? I have been fiddling with this on and off for a couple days and I really can't figure it out at all! I have gone through all the settings and they seem to be exactly the same, but I certainly could have missed something.
