How to prevent process from starting in Bootcamp when run as VM?

I have installed Trackpad++ while booted into my Bootcamp partition. This works well (give pretty good gesture support). However, when I launch Bootcamp as a VM, this process makes the VM crash.
I have contacted the developer, and he says his driver does not work in VM, and that it cannot detect whether it is in the VM or a full Bootcamp boot.

So:
Can Parallels disallow certain processes from starting, only when running Bootcamp as a VM?
