1. Optimize Images (Or Convert to WEBP )
2. Minify and Combine CSS and JavaScript Assets (By using WProcket)
3. Use a Content Delivery Network (Use CLoudflare)
4. Leverage Browser Caching ( It may be done from wprocket)
6. Use Light weight theme

I have also a website related to taxi, and i m having around 1000 pages and i m also using the same method. i have use wprocket and smush for pictures but some of my pages are still not loading fast which is local taxi Fetcham

Things You can do optimize web page size:

1. Compress Image size
2. Minify Css and Javascript files
3. Try to put all scripts in footer
4. Use any cache plugin like w3cache, wp super cache etc
