    Hey there all,

I've got this game I've been playing that was built for much, much slower computers than what I have. It's a Windows game, King's Quest 7, and I've had no problems operating it in my Windows XP Home Edition virtual machine through Parallels 5. . . until I encountered a portion of the game that is dependent on the running speed of the computer. Since my computer is so much faster than what the game was originally designed to run on, I can't continue; the processing speed being waaay too fast. All of the online support for the game directs me to free virtual machine software to mount the game and then slow it within the virtual machine. . . but since I'm already using Parallels, a not-so-free virtual machine, I figure there must be some way of slowing the processing speed of my virtual machine down to a reasonable level.

Note: I have attempted lowering the memory of the virtual machine down to minimum. Maybe there's more to it than that, but I didn't see any change in program performance time; no dice on continuing my game.

Also note: The game suite was released in a collection for Windows XP. The re-release was meant to run on this platform, and the processing-time issue is the only one that's causing problems.

Thanks for your time, hopefully I can get the info I need to sort this out! Haha. It's hard to give up on a game when I'm so close to the end!

P.S. my email is comeaur@unbc.ca. Thanks!
