Parallels seems to insist on putting a Windows drive icon on my desktop even though I've turned off Mirror Windows Connected Drives to Mac. I share my desktop using Dropbox (see http://www.zdnet.com/article/beyond...top-and-documents-between-macs-using-dropbox/ if you want more details) and these folders cause havoc with Dropbox, which attempts to backup the entire virtual drive. How can I turn this off? I'm guessing the Mirror option I mentioned isn't the right way. Thanks.
Hello DavidG14, Please follow the steps below to disable the Windows Virtual Hard disk shortcuts on Mac Desktop 1.Open virtual machine window (Do not click Start). 2.Open virtual machine configuration > switch to Options tab > Sharing. 3. Un-check mount virtual disks to Mac desktop in the Share Windows pane. Windows volumes will disappear on the Mac Desktop.
