    Hi,
I need to be able to type various special characters in Windows applications, such as single and double curly/typographic quotation marks and en-dash. Any clue how to do that? On a Windows laptop, I would press the Fn key to access the numeric keys on the main keyboard and then enter the corresponding Alt + number code, but MacBooks can't do this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
