Whenever one of my users is using a HP Laserjet P3005 printer with the correct driver, every print job will cause a crash. It does not do this in a normal terminal services session. If I change the printer driver to a HP 4000 PCL driver, it will also work fine. Problem is, we have a large number of HP P3005 printers and we have another program that needs the correct driver for formatting. Setting up 2 printers in Windows to print to the same printer is the path we are taking, but it is a poor choice. any chance of getting 2X to work with the correct driver? Thanks.
Hi there, what do you mean by "...getting 2X to work with the correct driver?". We assume you refer to the 2xUniversal Printer which works as a universal printer driver on the terminal server side. Kind regards,
Anytime someone is using the HP Laserjet P3005 driver and the send a print job to the universal printer which in turn sends it to the P3005 printer on the local machine, the 2X client on the workstation crashes with a TSClient.exe error and closes down all 2X sessions that person has open. If I switch the driver to a HP 4000 driver or almost anything else, it does not do this. I also do not have any errors when I rdp into the server and send a print job back to the the workstation. It does this on all workstations that are using the P3005 driver Thank you.
can you please test with the latest version. if there are any crashes can you please state in which module the crash happens cheers
