I installed Parallels and now I am trying to create a new virtual machine for Windows 7. Whether I try to do it straight from the CD/DVD or the image.iso file deal, I always get this error message:

"There is no operating system installed in this virtual machine. Please insert an operating system installation CD into the optical drive of your Mac and restart the virtual machine"

I have restarted my Mac and even uninstalled and reinstalled Parallels. I am at my wits end. Help would be nice, thank you.

    Hi,

Check your Boot Order settings. If you try to boot from CD/DVD, go to Virtual Machine Configuration > Options > Boot Order > drag CD/DVD to the first place and save the settings.
