I cannot get parallels trial

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong area, I could not find somewhere better.
I recently downloaded parallels, installed, and got to the activation screen.
When I request a free trial, a screen pops up saying that I am offline and need an activation key. Obviously I do not have one since I am trying to use the trial.
Can anyone help me?
It will not let me use it.
