  1. Hi All,

I am using Mac OS 10.9.2 and Parallels Desktop latest version.

Few months ago my hard disk had die, no problem, apple gave a new one. But recently i install parallels again and I went to add a new virtual machine:

New virtual machine -> Download Ubuntu Free

I got a big surprise. I didn't got a fresh install, I got a backup of my old virtual, which make me really piss off.

    1. I didn't ask for any backup.
    2. I didn't see any information about online backup.
    3. Some classify document ended in the cloud without my knowledge.

    Why question is:
    1. WTF (sorry..) just happen?
    2. How can I get a fresh install using Parallels and not a backup?
    3. How can I remove my files from the cloud?
    4. How can I disable this backup service that btw, I never ask or was inform.

    Thanks in advance,

  2. Where can I get support for this?

because for don't get support, to get a version of ubuntu that cannot be updated without crash ( black screen), to have a annoying backup that I cannot disable. Well, for this I can get free competitors that do the same but for free.

As another user I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience, but your rage is grossly misdirected because you are assuming there is some sort of cloud backup system for virtual machines in Parallels, there isn't.

Parallels VMs are saved in a folder in the user documents folder by default, if your user documents where transferred to the new HD, via time machine for example, then the old VMs were transferred too.

Your actual and only valid question can be politely rephrased as 'How do I find and delete Parallels (old) VMs': http://kb.parallels.com/en/5029
Note that at the bottom of the article you have the default possible locations for the .pvm packages (the VMs).
