I have had the following problem for about a month or so. I am running osx 10.9 with Parallels 9. I leave my computer on 24/7 because I am running an automation program in osx and Parallels is off. The problem is that my iMac is shutting down and stopping at the User page upon restarting. I have the Apple Service Pak on the iMac so earlier in the week I called Apple and the senior tech had me delete a bunch of stuff on the iMac and the iMac started working normally without restarting for two days...until today. I noticed the screen saver had changed to a spider web looking screen saver which I think is the default screen saver. I decided to use a virgin username and went through the startup. I have a small window that opened up which says ""Parallels Desktop Control Agent" would like to control this computer using accessibility features. Grant access to this application in Security & Privacy preferences, located in System Preferences." CHOICES ARE: "Open System Preferences" or "Deny". It is hopefully attached to this thread. I do not know how to read Console. When I open Console now it is only showing the files under the new user name. I did notice that when I was using my regular username Parallels was open although it was not open when I went to bed. It seems to be starting and maybe downloading an update which requires a restart. But every day! But if I leave my computer running during the day and return hours later it has gone through the "Restart" procedure so it is not related to a midnight download of update files. I have the "Install app updates" unchecked in the APP STORE System Preferences. I would like to resolve this issue without using Apple because it is very time consuming number one and they seem to be guessing too. Andy
