I need to increase the size of my Windows XP VM in order to upgrade it to Vista, but every attempt I've made to increase the size of the hard disk image file results in this error message, displayed as Image Tool's progress bar is very near the end: "Image Tool is unable to read the format of the hard disk image file you selected. Please choose another image file to proceed."

I am running OS X 10.4.11, Parallels & Image Tool 5584. I have tried this on both plain and expanding versions of the hard disk image, without luck.

Can anyone here suggest a solution?

    Hello Tharpold,

Do you have NTFS or FAT32 as a file system?
We are aware of the issues with Parallels Image Tool and FAT32, the fix is on our roadmap.

    Best regards,
