I operate an Adobe Authorized Training Center where we offer InDesign training in Seattle, as well as Photoshop and Illustrator. Anyhow... Since we move at an educational pace, we can take the performance hit that working on an intel Mac (under Rosetta with CS2) brings with it. However, we have run into an issue besides the now well known long decimal issue ( these require login to Adobe forums: http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.3bc10c47/0 and here http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?128@@.3bc0ee1f and here http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.3bc08978/10 ). When running IDCS2 under Windows XP (pre-SP2) through Parallels, as one places text, the cursor does NOT change to the loaded text icon. Here is the normal cursor: the one we get has only the tiny arrow you see in the upper left. This is a bit disconcerting to those new to the app. Native Windows users see the cursor correctly, and it's correct under the Mac OS. Other Parallels users have confirmed this with several builds of InDesign (current is 4.04) Anyone else run into this? Have a solution or workaround?
