I am new to the VM game and am having problems installing Fedora 5 on my Parallels VM with XP host. I have the Fedora CD ISO (1 of 5) in D: and when I turn on the VM I get the message:

"There is no operating system installed in the virtual machine. Please do the following:
    1. Click the 'Power Off' button to stop the virtual machine.
    2. Insert the installation CD with your operating system into the CD-ROM drive of your computer.
    3. Click the 'Power On' button to start the virtual machine again.
    4. Wait while installation program starts and follow on-screen instructions."

I follow the steps but keep getting the same message. Thanks for any advice.

check the boot order in parallels, it needs for the cd rom to be the first boot option
