Installing Parallels 8 Windows on Mac OSX

Newb here. I am sure this has been asked before, but my search was unsuccessful.

New MacBook Pro, downloaded Parallels 9 trial and installed along with Windows 8.1. Purchased Parallels 8 and installed with key code. Then, purchased Windows 8 upgrade and installed. All this because full copy of Windows 8 is not available for purchase. Is this going to work?

Rather, is Windows 8 properly installed? Everything works at present. Just want to know if I am going to run into a license expiration problem down the road.
