    Hello,

I am very new to parellels I decided to choose it over other platforms from reviews I had heard. My goal is to have windows XP running on my mac so I can do cross-browser testing for web development.

So I set up my shiney new version of Parallels Desktop 4.0 and read about how to install XP on to my computer. I have OSX 10.5.6 with a 250GB drive and like I said I want to install XP

So I was wondering if I can run through the set up of XP and install it on my laptops current drive without creating a new partition.

Everything I have read has been about bootcamp and using seperate partitions but I dont want to partition this drive, and I also dont want to lose my files.

So would it be safe to install XP onto my partition with my existing os and files?

    Thanks for the help,

    Arthur

It is not necessary to use Boot Camp, you can just install it on mac side as Virtual Hard disk (file), from Mac OS side it will be as ordinary files
