hi i have installed the parallels and i am trying to install windows XP , everything went well but it seems to me like something is hanging , i have the windows installation steps and i ma on step "installing windows" and it is saying that it will take approximately 39 minutes well it is more then an hour and still running (i dont see the minute counter going down which i think it should but i can see that the "running" indicator is moving. i guess my question is if anyone have any idea , or had same incident if you think i have a problem , is there a way to revert the XP installation and start again? thanks in advance for the help
I have the same problem. I followed the instructions and made an image of my CD and tried to install from that. But I'm having the same issues. The first time using the ISO it got to 9 minutes remaining, then froze. Subsequent tries only got me to 39 minutes remaining. (There didn't seem to be any problem creating the ISO.)
Just tried a workaround I found on the forum, and it worked! I selected Windows Other as the OS type, and Win XP Pro installed fine. Then I edited the VM and changed the OS type to Win XP. Having some problems installing Parallel Tools now, but that's another issue. Thanks to everyone on the forums!
