Parallels Desktop 3, build 5626. I have seen other posts regarding this in forums but none of the advertised solutions worked for me. This used to work fine in the best - not sure what I did today that caused it to stop working. As per the other posts I have attached an incident report and a screenshot - I couldn't 'send' the email because my Entourage isn't configured (which is why I use Parallels in the first place!). Can anyone please help? I have tried checking the "Shared Network" under devices, checking for latest parallels updates, and rebooting my Mac OS and the VM OS. The VM is running Windows XP. Much appreciated
First of all try to reinstall Parallels Tools (PT). Go to Start --> Control Panel --> Add/Remove programs and erase PT. Restart the Virtual Machine (VM), click on VM in the top menu --> Install Parallels Tools. Reboot again and check if internet is accessible. If there's still no connection, try to switch Interner Adapter in Configuration Editor area to Bridged and choose the specific adapter you use now. Also make sure no virus protection is installed in VM except for Parallels Internet Security.
I was able to fix it by rebooting parallels and my mac and changing it to "Shared connection". Don't know why it eventually worked, but glad its fixed now!
