    Hi,
I'm new to Mac so please forgive me if this is basic but I have a new MBPro. I have Parallels installed and Win XP. I connect wirelessly with my airport when I'm at home and if I set the Guest OS setting to Bridged networking my IPASS VPN connection goes through with no problem in my VM.

When I'm on the road I use a Verizon USB broadband modem. If I leave my network settings to Bridged it doesn't work at all in my VM but if I change it to Shared, I connect to the internet with no problem but my VPN doesn't work.

Does anyone know if there is a setting that I can make that will allow my VPN to connect.

    Thanks in advance.

If your vpn software is a Mac product, use shared networking. If it is a Windows product, use bridged networking. If you can, use a Mac vpn tool - it simplifies your life.

Thanks dkp for getting back so quickly. Unfortuneately, the IPASS software is issued from my client and they don't have a MAC version. You are correct that it will work if I make the settings Bridged and connect to airport but when I use my Verizon USB broadband modem, it doesn't work if I set it to Bridged. If I set it to Shared then the Verizon USB works but not the IPASS.

If you think of any ideas, please pass them along and again thanks.
