    All,
I was hoping to test out the M1 preview, but as I understand it, I need "an ARM-based operating system installation image (VHDX or ISO)". Is this something I need to create from scratch or is there a way to convert my existing Windows 10 .pvm image to the format so it can be used with this new version? Thanks for any advice. (Apologies if this answer has already been posted but I couldn't find it.)

No, unfortunately you can't use your old .pvm at all. You can copy your data to the new .pvm, but you can't convert the system data to work with the Technical Preview. On the bright side, you can use your old Intel Parallels and the Technical Preview at the same time as you get a new license just for the Technical Preview.
