Hi, I'd like to report a problem I've encountered while using Parallels on macOS. The issue occurs when I attempt to back up a Parallels virtual machine image containing a file named aux.bin to a network-attached storage (NAS) via SMB. Here's the situation: Parallels allows me to virtualize another instance of macOS within my macOS environment. One of the files inside this virtual machine package is aux.bin. On a Mac, storing a file with that name works perfectly fine. However, when I try to copy or back up the virtual machine to an SMB network share (for example, on a Synology NAS), the aux.bin file name conflicts with reserved naming conventions in SMB. As a result, the file cannot be stored properly, which may render the entire virtual machine image corrupted or unusable. In short, the aux.bin filename is incompatible with SMB shares, and this breaks the backup process for Parallels virtual machines. I would appreciate any guidance or a potential fix for this issue. Thank you!
