Is anyone having wierd issues with the newest Mac client? None of our Mac users can connect through our firewall to the application server. Local connections work fine, and all connections from PC clients or iPads are fine as well. But, Mac clients can't get past the initial application launch. As soon as a session starts from a Mac client is just freezes. The RDP session on the server immediately starts to register as a disconnected session so it would appear that the 2x session is just crashing. Sometimes I can't even get that far and instead just get an "unknown network error" from the client. I've opened a support ticket but no luck. Server version 9.0.1061 Client version 9.0.1061
hi I'm using the same version od 2x client on my mac os,I suggest to test ms-rdp client as your issue appears to be a network related issue, also which Mac os are you using? Regards,
We've tested on several Macs, running both Leopard and Snow Leopard fully updated. RDP works absolutely fine, plus the 2x client works fine from PCs. If this is a network issue, I'm not even sure where to look. What could cause just Mac sessions to crash? I've also tried both with and without SSL to rule out any SSL tunnel issues and either way still crashes.
Through trial and error I've narrowed this down to a Firewall or ISP issue. When we reroute our 2X server over our backup firewall (Cisco PIX) and DSL line, it works fine. When we route it over our ASA and primary ethernet connection, Mac sessions crash. So, does anyone have any idea why a firewall or ISP issue could ONLY affect NAT'ed 2x sessions from Mac clients?
