Hi, I downloaded the Ubuntu and the Kubuntu virtual appliance from the VA downloads site. I can not get networking up and running at all: - for each of the VA, I tried all parallels networking configs. In the bottom status bar of the Parallels window the tooltips says networking is up and running. o in Ubuntu: - Realtek network driver seems to be loaded. odd enough, in the device list, the status is "status" (like for most other devices) I tampered with the "Wired interface": Enable, get IP per DHCP. ifconfig shows only an IPv6 address and no IPv4 address DNS etc. does not work o in Kubuntu: - couldn't find any traces of an installed Realtek driver - couldn't find any reasonable way to install one - KNetworkConfig tells me "No active device" - ifconfig shows me again an interface just with a IPv6 address with some bytes transferred w/o error What am I missing?
