With Parallels not launched, when I choose to open a .txt file in OSX Kaspersky is autoselected as the application to open it - and Parallels launches. I force quit P4, reset the default OSX application as TextEdit, but the next time I try to open a .txt file, KAV hijacks it again. How can KAV have an active presence when Parallels is off? peter
Hi peterlemer, May be when associating TextEdit with text file, you don't select to use TextEdit for ALL .txt files, but only for particular one?
i tick the box 'Always Open With' (TextEdit) and it immediately reverts back to KAV. I include some screenshots: 1. the file in situ 2. the open file dialog showing KAV as default 3. the 'other' dialog showing choice of TextEdit always 4. the next open file dialog showing KAV still there
