Dear friends, I've just bought Parallels Desktop 12 as part of the Black Friday bundle, which also includes a one-year license for Kaspersky Internet Security for the Mac. The offer said that even if I already have Kaspersky Internet Security for Mac (which I do), the key will extend my license for one year. However, when I try to add the received key to my Kaspersky, I get the error "This license is not for this product". The Kaspersky support personnel told me to contact you because this key is for a very specific product called "Kaspersky Internet Security for the Mac for Parallels International", and that probably I will need to uninstall the general version of the software and install yours. My question is: what is "Kaspersky Internet Security for the Mac for Parallels"? Is it somehow a "reduced" or "limited" version of the original product? In such a case (and maybe even if not), I would prefer to maintain my "generic" product installed. Could you then help me obtain a key for the "generic" version as originally promised? Thanks for everything, best regards, Octavio
Hello OctavioH, you can only extend the subscription if you already have a subscription of Kaspersky Internet Security for Mac through Parallels. The version of Kaspersky sold through Parallels is completely tested with Parallels Desktop.
I think you should explicitly warn about this in the offer so that others don't make the same assumption I did.
