I'm using the applicationserver client for Linux 4.3 on a CentOS 3.8 machine. When connecting to a published desktop in full screen mode, the hotkeys provided by KDE or GNOME (e.g. CTRL+TAB for switching through the workplaces) do not work. After disconnecting from the application server (Windows 2003 Standard), the functionality of the hotkeys is restored. Does anyone know how to get these hotkeys working even during a session to the application server? Thanks in advance, Andreas
I don't really understand your issue... You Connect to a published Windows Desktop from a CentOS System? By Application Server??? And when you are in Fullscreen Desktop(Windows) your KDE/GNOME Hotkeys do not work? When in Fullscreen mode it's normal that the active Window recieves the keyboard instructions... But why don't you use the rdp Programm provided by KDE/GNOME? Or did I understand something wrong? Greetings, Alex
I think, you are oon the right way ;-) I connect from a CentOS system via 2X Application server client to a Windows Desktop published by a 2X Application Server. I want to use the 2X client in full screen mode at one of the workplaces provided by KDE. When I try to switch between the workplaces (typically this is done with ALT+TAB) this hotkey is catched by the 2X client. When I compare with Citrix client, I was able to switch between workplaces via ALT+TAB. Is such a behavior possible with the 2X client? I don't want to use the RDP client provided with KDE/GNOME because I need support with predictable response times. Regards, Andreas
My ALT+TAB works when in windowed mode When the mouse is in the area of the Windows 2003 server, ALT+TAB is picked up on the remote server. When the mouse is in the area of the rest of my linux desktop, it is picked up by the local (KDE) window manager. I think your problem is that you are using fullscreen mode, so it will always pick up the Windows 2003 Server ALT+TAB, which as far as I can understand is expected and normal behaviour.
